How COVID-19 is Impacting Fitness Businesses
After living with the COVID-19 pandemic for the better part of this year, there’s no doubt that the fitness industry has been hit pretty severely all over the world. With gyms facing closures, membership cancelations and added precautions, fitness business owners are suffering and struggling to find plausible solutions.
As part of building the leading fitness management platform, the Arbox team has worked tirelessly this year to implement features to help make life easier for gym and studio owners. We’ve added tools to overcome the difficulties COVID-19 has created for fitness businesses as well as means to help provide your members with a safe and seamless fitness experience.
Fitness Management COVID-19 Features:
- Online classes
With many gyms and studios having to close their doors due to local or national lockdowns, switching to online classes is key for maintaining momentum with members. The Arbox platform offers simple enablement of online classes for any class in your schedule with just a few clicks of your mouse. You can easily send members a link to a Zoom class, or any other online streaming service. Additionally, members can be notified of the switch to an online class, and get reminders for the start of that class, via push notifications through our Members Mobile App.
- Digital health forms
With daily health forms now being the norm in the fitness world, we’ve added a feature for gym and studio owners to create digital forms that members can fill out and sign right in the Members Mobile App every time they visit. This feature helps make life easier for each member to fill out these forms on the go. Additionally these are a huge benefit for the business owner who won’t need to collect new paperwork every day and can simply log into Arbox and see which members have filled out the form.
Additional Business Features:
In addition to the day-to-day needs of fitness business owners affected by COVID-19, we’ve implemented features that will help them pivot when facing an unexpected lockdown.
- Bulk membership actions
Arbox users can now execute bulk actions on multiple memberships in just a few clicks. If they’re forced to close their business for an extended period of time they can freeze or cancel multiple memberships at once to avoid members continuing to pay when they won’t be able to attend their gym or studio. Additionally, once things open back up again, the owners will be able to bulk reinstate these memberships in just a few moments and welcome these members back into their business.
- Bulk schedule actions
Similar to the above, you can perform bulk actions to your class schedule when needing to cancel, move or convert classes to being online. This is just another way that you can easily pivot in the face of unexpected changes caused by the pandemic.
